Does this mean my site can never be hacked?
Nobody can honestly promise that. This service makes unauthorized access much harder and keeps a separate backup ready, so your site can be brought back to a working state.
Why are backups kept separately from the site?
If a backup sits next to the site, whatever damages the site can damage the backup too. Keeping copies apart means a clean version is still there when you need it.
How is this different from the website care plan?
Security and backups is set up once and puts protection and backups in place. The care plan is a monthly service for software updates and site checks. See both on the add-ons page.
